Boys and Girls, ages 10-14 (as of Sept. 1, 2011) are invited to participate in the 2011 Knights of Columbus Soccer Challenge. The challenge will be held August 20 at 2 p.m., with registration at 1:30 p.m. at Huber Park. Participants are required to show proof of age and have written parental consent.
The Knights of Columbus Soccer Challenge is a competition designed for players to demonstrate the most basic soccer skill – the penalty kick. Each player will be allowed 15 shots at the goal from the penalty line (12 yards). Players will be scored on accuracy. Boys and girls in each age group will compete separately, with winners chosen from each group. Winners may progress through local, district, and state competitions.
There is no fee to participate in this event.
Registration is onsite at 1:30 p.m.
